How Fixoma SMS works

Fixoma sends SMS only for transactional, service-related updates. These messages help homeowners stay on top of active project planning, workflow changes, and next-step coordination. They are not promotional or bulk marketing texts.

Why users may receive texts

  • Your project plan is ready.
  • Your project status or milestone has changed.
  • An expert or contractor has responded.
  • We need additional action or confirmation from you.
  • A reminder is needed to keep a project moving.

How users opt in

  • During signup when contact preferences are requested.
  • During project submission or project workflow setup.
  • By checking an unchecked checkbox that clearly discloses SMS consent terms.
Sample consent language

“I agree to receive project-related SMS updates from Fixoma. Message & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe and HELP for help.”

Consent recordkeeping

When a user opts in, Fixoma stores a record of the consent event, including the timestamp, IP address, phone number, and the consent text presented at the time of opt in.
